You speak, I listen! That’s why I am hosting another incredible retreat this year, only this one is shorter and more affordable. Registration links are at the bottom of this page.
Though it spans less time, it still has all the elements to create an amazing, connecting experience. This long-weekend retreat will be September 16-20. We will spend these days Rewilding.
The inspiration for this retreat comes from a poem by David Whyte called Sometimes. In that poem, he invites you to listen to your inner “Requests to stop what you are doing right now, and to stop what you are becoming while you do it…” Listen to David Whyte read and talk about the poem here.
Rewilding is a process of realizing your wholeness. That process begins by listening to the “questions that can make or unmake a life, questions that have patiently waited for you, questions that have no right to go away,” as David continues in his poem. And the answers to those questions are available within your innate wisdom. Each of us is physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually AMAZING!
This retreat will introduce you to your amazingness (if that’s a word) by uncovering the right questions for you, not by merely answering questions that are not relevant.
So, don’t worry. Rewilding is not about sporting a fig leaf, covering your body in mud, and baying at the moon. Although, I have no particular judgments against such behavior.
Arrival: Before 3pm, Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021
Departure: Monday, Sept. 20, 2021
We will stay in the heart of Bend, Oregon at McMenamins Old St. Francis School. It is a converted Catholic school that has a restaurant, several pubs, outdoor dining, communal fire pits, a couch-seating movie theater, and a Turkish Bath. It is a very unique experience.
Each day will start with a yoga/centering class followed by breakfast. Then we head off to a hike at a different locale each day. The list of destinations and events are:
Pilot Butte, Lava Butte, High Desert Museum, Deschutes River walk to Dillon Falls, Historic Downtown Bend, Drake Park, Black Butte, Metolius Nature Preserve near Camp Sherman, exploring Sisters, and Farewell Bend Park. All of these amazing places are less than an hour away from where we’ll be staying in the heart of Bend, and the heart of the Central Oregon High Desert.
Each day will end with a meditation and reflection on a question. There will be journaling!
Single Occupancy $2,225.00
Double Occupancy $1,800.00 each
All lodging. Breakfast and Lunch each day. All transportation once you arrive at Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) if flying. All necessary yoga accessories (mats, blankets, blocks, straps, etc). All supplies for journaling (notebooks, pens, etc). Admission to all events.
All dinners. Transportation to and from Bend. (Note: if you are flying in, we will pick you up from Redmond Municipal Airport, and return you there before your departing flight.)
If you can walk a few miles comfortably, then you can and will enjoy this trip. All of the sites have many paths available, with breathtaking views throughout. All events are optional; maybe you want to just stay back at the hotel and get a massage one day. All options are open. This is YOUR retreat.
All participants will be fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated by September 16, then please wait and schedule your retreat for later or next year. Deschutes County (home of Bend) is set to have 80% of its eligible population fully vaccinated by the end of June 2021. Most of our activities will be held outdoors, with a few exceptions. When we go indoors, we will follow all federal, state, local, and establishment guidelines and requirements in regards to mask wearing and distancing. Your safety, the safety of others, and our impact on the environment are important to us. Therefore, this is non-negotiable.
Reserve your place by making a non-refundable deposit for the hotel room any time before August 8, 2021 and the remainder is due by September 1, 2021. If the chart below doesn’t show up properly, see payment information on page 6 of the brochure.

*NOTE: Most rooms are single king size beds. There are a few double occupancy rooms with two queen size beds. The Double Occupancy option is intended for couples or close friends. If you are wanting a Double Occupancy room and don’t mind sharing the room with another person, and are traveling alone, I will do my best to find a suitable roommate, but there are no guarantees
There is limited space available for this retreat: we want the best possible experience for you, and a smaller group is ideal to facilitate deeper connection to each other, to nature, and to yourself.
Join in! And find answers to the questions you’ve asked of yourself.
