If we have learned anything from the past year, it is that we don’t really know how much time we have left. Nothing is a guarantee. And that it’s not about making the “most” out our lives, but rather living our lives in alignment with our deepest values. Living in alignment gives a sense of purpose and an understanding that we are part of the natural world.
You are invited to a week-long retreat to help you answer the two questions you may have asked yourself:
“What do I want to do when this is all over?”
“Who do I want to be?”
This summer retreat is an 8-day journey into our own hearts; to immerse ourselves in nature, using her cues for deep introspection. During our time together we will have the opportunity to:
Arrival: Before 3pm, Monday, July 12, 2021
Departure: Monday, July 19, 2021
We will stay in the heart of Bend, Oregon at McMenamins Old St. Francis School. It is a converted Catholic school that has a restaurant, a movie theater, and a Turkish Bath. It is a very cool experience. See page 5 of the brochure for more information.
Each day will start with a yoga/centering class followed by breakfast. Then we head off to a hike at a different locale each day. The list of destinations and events are:
Pilot Butte, Lava Butte, High Desert Museum, Deschutes River walk to Dillon Falls, Black Butte, Camp Sherman, exploring Sisters, Smith Rock, floating down the Deschutes River and, finally, Crater Lake. All of these amazing places (except Crater Lake) are less than an hour away from where we’ll be staying in the heart of Bend.
In addition to each of these beautiful sites, we will also spend time each day journaling using the Intensive Journaling Method by Ira Progoff. It is a powerful and transformative technique that can bring connection and clarity to your life.
Single Occupancy $3,300.00.
Double Occupancy $2,500.00.
All lodging. Breakfast and Lunch each day. All transportation once you arrive at Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) if flying. All necessary yoga accessories (mats, blankets, blocks, straps, etc). All supplies for journaling (notebooks, pens, etc). Admission to all events.
Transportation to and from Bend. (Note: if you are flying in, we will pick you up from Redmond Municipal Airport, and return you before your departing flight.) One meal (Dinner) each day.
If you can walk a few miles comfortably, then you can and will enjoy this trip. All of the sites that I have chosen have many paths available. If you want to walk on level ground, you can. Or if you want to scale up the side of a cliff, you can do that too! Either way, the views are breathtaking and the experience inspiring. All events are optional; maybe you want to just stay back at the hotel and get a massage one day. This is YOUR retreat.
All participants will be fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated by June 1, then please wait and schedule your retreat for later or next year. Deschutes County (home of Bend) is set to have 80% of its eligible population fully vaccinated by the end of June 2021. Most of our activities will be held outdoors, with a few exceptions. When we go indoors, we will follow all federal, state, local, and establishment guidelines and requirements in regards to mask wearing and distancing. Your safety, the safety of others, and our impact on the environment are important to us. Therefore, this is non-negotiable.
Reserve your place by making a non-refundable deposit for the hotel room any time before June 1, 2021 ($800 for Single Occupancy, or $500 for Double). Your first payment of $1,000 will be due on June 7, 2021. The remaining balance ($1,500 for Single Occupancy, or $1,000 for Double) is due July 5, 2021. If the chart below doesn’t show up properly, see payment information on page 10 of the brochure.

If you are wanting a Double Occupancy room and don’t mind sharing the bed with another person, and are traveling alone, I will do my best to find a suitable roommate, but there are no guarantees
There is limited space available for this retreat: we want the best possible experience for you, and a smaller group is ideal to facilitate deeper connection to each other, to nature, and to yourself.
